Smart Steps -
Stepfamilies are different from first families
- Stepfamilies have to juggle visitation schedules - first families don't.
- Stepfamilies have to share children on holidays, birthdays and other special family occasions - first families don't.
- Stepfamilies have family members who live with at least two sets of house rules - first families don't.
- Stepfamilies hear "You can't tell me what to do. You're not my mom/dad!" - first families don't.
This research-based, educational program curriculum is for remarried or partnering couples and their children, and focuses on building couple and family strength.
